ADA Section 508 Compliance

Government entities, including public schools and ISDs, are required to have all publicly available websites and documents accessible to those with disabilities as part of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Section 508.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 are more understandable guidelines for what is required to make a webpage or document ADA-accessible.

I would be more than happy to come present on this topic at your request. I’ll go over why this work is needed, demonstrate a screen reader, review good design principles, lead your group through optimizing a sample document, and go over cleaning up documents in Adobe Acrobat Professional DC. If you’re interested, take a look at the details below and contact me.

Take a look at this sample agenda. The agenda can be modified to meet your specific needs. I can present up to two four-hour presentations in a day. You can choose a morning and afternoon or an afternoon and evening. Recommended class size: 15-20 people

Charge: $1,000/day plus lodging if more than 100 miles from Muskegon, MI and travel expenses

Document Conversion

If you have a final document that needs to be a compliant PDF, but not the time to convert it yourself, I can do the work for you.

Charge: $20 first page, $10 each additional page (per document)
